bodrost_050108_b.jpgIn spring our organism is weakened after a  long cold winter – in the morning we cannot wake up, in the afternoon we do not want to eat, but only sleep, in the evening we are all butter-fingered. We dream to fall asleep immediately and wake up with first summer days. We are used to explain everything by seasonal depression, however, you can remain vivacious and energetic all the year round! Here are 7 simple rules to support your organism.

Step 1

Eat spaghetti with tomato sauce

This is excellent energetic food. Dieticians recommend eating them for breakfast – food rich in carbohydrates provides you with burst of energy. However, there are also easily digestible carbohydrates (sugar, cakes) which you should better restrict from, and there are also difficultly digestible ones, for example macaroni wheat. Such food is healthy and you won’t gain weight due to it.

Step 2

Come to love hot shower

Morning shower is a good way to cheer up and make brain working. It just should not be contrast, and not cold, but hot. Hot water stimulates blood circulation, this will help you turning into energetic person, ready to day’s work in the morning. Washing hair in the morning is a good way to wake up. There are only two conditions: water head should be strong and you should not stand under such shower for more than 5 minutes – hot water also stimulates oil-bags’ work.

Step 3

Drink tea, not coffee

Trying to wake up due to a big cup of coffee, we use a boomerang: organism will really shake its wings, but the effect is temporary – tiredness will return later and it will be much harder. First cup of coffee is definitely accompanied by second one, then third and so on, however, doctors recommend limiting coffee drinking up to 3 cups per day. Herbal or green tea will be better for you, they brace up you as good as coffee drinks, but act gently and spare heart. Green tea contains many vitamins we are lack of in spring – A, C, PP, B group.

Step 4

Make your life lighter

In winter we always want to sleep, due to lack of sunlight – this is connected with melatonin hormone that is produced in our organism while twilight. It gives you signals for sleep: as soon as it becomes dark, its level becomes heightened, so, metabolism slows down and organism is attuned for sleep. Alas, in the morning we wake up before dawn, in the evening come home in dusk and in the afternoon too little natural light comes through our windows to us – only 10% from necessary.
To feel better, do not save on light: bring additional lamp to work, hang gauzy curtains at home – better yellow, orange or pink. Sun glasses with color glasses are also useful, and, if you have no contra-indications, visit solarium.

Step 5

Take citrus snacks

One can constantly feel tiredness and languor, if his organism feels lack of vitamin C. Hence you receive weak immunity, pale skin, dim hair. Take several oranges or mandarins with you and have snacks with them. Besides citruses, you can stir up your organism with bananas and a piece of chocolate – as it is known, these foods stimulate serotonin production in organism (“hormone of happiness”).

Step 6

Remember about vitamins

You need to provide yourself with necessary quantity of vitamins C, E, B group (especially B12), natural beta-carotene, zinc, selenium, magnesium. So, besides citruses and bananas, you should include more sprouting wheat, sea fish, haricot, bran, cereals, carrot and radish, cabbage and seeds in your diet. Another necessary substance - vitamin Bt: it is contained in all sports and so-called energetic drinks. Vitamin Bt is contained in red meat, dairy produce (especially cheese), poultry.

Step 7

Smell sandal and needles

Do not forget about aromatherapy. If scents of balm, rosemary, lavender and bergamot calm down nervous system, then scents if citruses, needle, patchouli, sandal, eucalyptus and marjoram brace up and increase capacity for work. You can apply several drops of essence on your handkerchief and smell it, when you need to cheer up.
You should not ignore lingering tiredness, as it may be one of symptoms of serious diseases – cardiovascular, blood, nervous system, oncological.

Chronic fatigue syndrome – is a bug?

Recently it became fashionable speaking of chronic fatigue syndrome – disease, turning young and successful people into languid ones, suffering from headache and mood swings, touchy creatures. By the way, doctors admitted this syndrome as a disease just recently, earlier all complaints of universal tiredness were referred either to not getting enough sleep, or simulation. Finally, scientists published results of the researches: it turns out, virus is the base of it!

Usually chronic fatigue syndrome starts 2 weeks after you had flu. Person feels like he had been working for a week without any rest. By the evening he suffers from headache, temperature is often raised to 37-37,5C, joint ache. Fortunately, this can be cured with vitamins, anti-viral remedies and preparations strengthening immunity.
