Fruit juices are rich in vitamins and good for our health. However, this is not always true. As it turned out, orange juice may cause serious harm to teeth enamel.
Physicians from English city of Rochester conducted a study and proved that orange juice affects teeth enamel even worse, than bleaching products. The whole blame - strong acids this fruit juice contains.
«Acids are so strong that teeth enamel is literally eroded. Orange juice decreases strength of enamel by 84%», - the head of research explained.
Regular consumption of orange juice leads to teeth rotting and an increased risk of caries development. The longer enamel contacts with juice, the greater the likelihood of rapid teeth decay is.
